Archaic couldn't remember what happened between when Silver and Eggman caught him and when he woke up the next day lying on a bare table with his arms and legs out in the shape of an X. He opened his eyes slowly, noticing that he wasn't in his own room. This new room was nothing more than a square with four grey walls, a small dimming light on the ceiling, and a poster of Eggman pointing that said "OBEY!!!1" in big letters. Archaic tried to get up, but he felt extremely heavy, so he just fell back down. It was even difficult to breathe. Then a monitor came out from the ceiling and turned on. Silver appeared on it.
"Like your new room?" Silver asked.
"That's all you have to say?" Archaic said, then took a deep breath, "After all this crap?"
Ignoring what Archaic said, Silver responded, "So I guess you'll want the tour, huh? OK, the reason you can't get up is because you're on Eggman's Gravity Table X2.3."
Eggman interrupted, "That's right! It's made from a lightweight zinc alloy that is specially adapted to being... oooff!"
Silver shoved Eggman out of the way.
"Ahem... Anyway, it can increase or decrease the gravity of anything on top of it at the push of a button. Like this." Silver pressed a button on a remote and the gravity lessened, and Archaic floated above the table. Then Silver pushed another button and Archaic slammed down on the table.
"Now try to make a fist with your hand," Silver suggested. Archaic tried as hard as he could to pull his fingers up and make as fist but it took at least 3 minutes to put them even halfway together, and he gave up.
"You know, I can," Archaic said, breathing heavily again, "short circuit this thing right now."
"Uh uh uh! Look at your wrists," Silver said. Archaic looked and saw the null wristbands again.
"I hate these things! They itch really badly! And now I can't even reach them!" Archaic said in a hurry, before he had to breathe again.
"You know Archaic, there are a million ways we could do this, but this is the least painful way," Silver advised.
Archaic responded, "OK, fine. But I have questions. Why is Eggman helping you exactly?"
"Because when Zen possesed you, he was the only one left to help me since he had Blaze and the PKForce. It was the only option."
"Yeah, and who's this Zen guy?"
Silver looked to the side, closed his eyes, and paused for a second, then said, "I can't tell you that right now."
"Why not?!" Archaic said curiously. But Silver already turned off the monitor to avoid any more conversation.
"Darn it, Silver! I'll go crazy in here!!!"
Archaic knew Silver wouldn't answer, so he just stared at the ceiling and the poster on the wall, thinking about just how bad is life has been the past few weeks. Then the monitor turned on and Johan was there.
"You better not mention Blaze at all," Archaic warned.
"I wont. Now listen, I know what it's like to be enclosed in one area. Of course, it wasn't this small, but still!" Johan said, "And I promise, I'll get Silver to let you out early."
"Thanks Johan. Seriously, I appreciate it," Archaic said.
"No problem. Oh, and don't go too crazy," Johan smiled and turned off the monitor, which went back into the ceiling.
Archaic was now left alone. No music. No video games. No nothing. Just that stupid poster, and his dreams.
